Capital Home Builders and Dwight Fleming are very customer oriented and the initial plan was a focus on our lot location and home needs. On our first meeting with Dwight he provided us with an overview of Capital Homes history in Savannah Lakes and had selected six potential lots for our view. In addition, we discussed custom options which they were willing to do. A lot, home and options were selected two weeks after our initial meeting. and we are now moving forward with the build. My husband and I had Capital Home Builders as our builder for our home in Savannah Lake Village. The process was made relatively worry free, from beginning to end. Capital Home Builders were responsive to my concerns and questions, added extra's along the way without any hesitation, and the build went smoothly and quickly. We moved in a week ago, and we fell in love with our home. There's so many extras, little things you don't think about, it's just a dream come true. My husband keeps asking when we have to check out! Capital Home Builders promised and delivered on the promise, no surprises, no disappointments, I highly recommend them.

We love our new home! The floor plans Capital offers are each very nice allowing us to select one we liked that fit our lot. My husband started the process the summer of 2019 and here it is early 2020 and we've just moved in. From beginning to end Jeff and Dwight were professional, open to ideas and changes we made, it really was the smoothest transaction. It's just amazing, everything we asked for got done, the craftsmanship is unbelievable, there were pictures posted of our build on this page, and our realtor Tom Greene sent us periodic videos...really just an all around great experience. There were no unpleasant surprises when we got here, the home we asked for is the one we received. Everyone made it easy for us, and the neighbors, unbelievably nice. It has been a year since we moved into our wonderful home that Capital Builders built for my wife and I. We are still amazed at how fortunate we were to find Jeff and Dwight to turn our dream home into a reality. This is the third house we have built, but our first custom home. We looked at homes on the web for years before we were finally ready to build our retirement home. We could tell by the style, features, and details when we were looking at a Capital home on the web and we knew that we wanted Capital to build our home. Using the information on their web site we generally knew what to expect in each stage of the home building process. We arranged a meeting, visited our lot and discussed the details. Everything went great and we were off. Of course, the home building process is never going to be completely stress free, but Jeff and Dwight did their best to make it as painless as possible. The builder, home designer, draftsman made sure everything came out perfectly. The entire team including the sub contractors were always there and made the process seamless. Due to the wonderful experience we had with Capital building our home, I made the decision to move my real estate license to Savannah Lakes Realty which is affiliated to Capital Builders.

Home was completed on time and budget with great attention to detail. The finishing touches were fantastic and added a great look to the house. Jeff and Dwight were easy to work with and helped guide us thru the entire process. Their guidance on the 100’s of decisions that have to be made when building were invaluable. When we decided to build and addition, they were our first choice. The addition was added so seamlessly that you can’t tell it’s not part of the original construction. Even after 6 years after the build, Jeff and Dwight are still happy to answer questions and provide follow up. I couldn’t imagine working with two more honorable gentlemen.

With a defined process, it allowed us to better understand the building progress and to plan for the times we needed to be onsite. We owned our lot in SLV for approx. 12 years before we built. We visited once a year, and when The Internet came along, I looked on line at houses for sale everyday. The houses we liked were always built by Capital. It got to the point, I could recognize a Capital home without checking who built it. Dwight and Jeff's homes are that distinctive, attractive, and suited to the particular lot upon where each home is being built. When it was time to build, there was no question who we wanted to build our dream home. We met with Jeff and Dwight. They identified our lot, we told them what we thought we wanted and then made an appt. to meet with them later that same day. Dwight wanted to not just physically look at our lot, but "walk it" to get a feel for the topography, views, and other physical traits of our particular lot. When we met again, he was able, with the eye of an architect and engineer, tell us what type of house plans would work and which would not. This was essential because the original type of house we THOUGHT we wanted was not one that would work well on our lot. We appreciated Capital's candor and they then showed us what plans would work incorporating all the things we wanted in our house. They let us walk through similar houses they were building, look through many photographs, and even arranged for us to look at some finished homes. Next, we all sat down and were given a very detailed notebook with all the steps in the building process: what was included in a standard package, upgrades available, when we would need to pick out electrical, plumbing, tile, paint, etc..And naturally, the pricing of the home was discussed with a very helpful chart on what our budget would be if we chose standard or upgrades and what our allotted budget would be for the major aspects of our home. Capital accommodated our time schedule(3 days) to accomplish all this. Building a home is stressful, building a home in South Carolina while you live in Ohio is "super" stressful, but Jeff and Dwight made it as easy as possible. They coordinated when we had to physically be present in SC to make choices on granite, appliances, etc. so we could do it all in one visit. If they had a question on the smallest detail, they called or emailed. If we had a question, they got back to us, immediately. Jeff was so easy to work with on the actual building process. He would make sure we understood what was happening, listened to suggestions from us, and even let us purchase and bring down things like ceiling fans or fixtures we liked and then these were deducted from the budget we were allotted. My husband wanted to do the wiring for a sound system himself. This was accommodated. Dwight gave us recommendations for local attorneys, financial institutuons we could check out since we weren't from the area. Consultation with an interior decorator was included in the standard price of the home. Pictures of the building process were regularly provided. They were always honest with us if they thought a detail we wanted wouldn't work out or took some of our ideas they thought were good ones and used them with other clients. Toward the end of the building process, our home in Ohio sold extremely fast, and Jeff made it possible for us to move in even before some of the end stage "finish work" was completed. If something wasn't quite right (which didn't happen much, but little glitches are bound to occur in a new house), they were immediately taken care of up to a year after we moved in. Dwight and Jeff truly, became like members of our family. We saw pictures of their kids, they listened to our family stories and we keep in contact with them because they played a very important role in our lives; helping our retirement dream house become a reality. You won't regret choosing The Capital Team to not just build your house, but build your home.

We were first time builders. We took occupancy in February of 2018. Being out of town during the building and change phase was made easier by their updates via photos.
